I would be honoured to endorse you for re-election to the Abbotsford Board of Education. I am very thankful that you are willing to serve again. Public service is often a thankless job and I am always impressed when good people are willing to allow their names to stand for election. Ross Siemens, businessperson, former city councilor, and board member of Abbotsford Community Services Add Comment Ron Dart 09/20/2011
John Sutherland has never flinched from asking the tough questions about public education. Pluralism, at its best, means being open to dialogue about positions that are not always politically correct. John is committed to furthering a position in public education in which critical thinking is front and centre on the hot button issues in the culture wars. Surely, this is what is needed to be minimally educated and to practice meaningful citizenship. John definitely deserves a solid green light for his work in these areas--- do vote for him. I am pleased to support John Sutherland's bid for re-election to the Abbotsford School Board. John's experience in industry, academia, and with the School Board, is precisely what is needed to face the challenges in the next few years.' You have my vote!!! Lyle McClelland, Abbotsford Banker I have known John for many years, and always found him to be friendly, compassionate, and a good listener. From my point of view, he certainly demonstrates a caring attitude about issues that reflect Abbotsford's diverse demographics. He is what I like to call a good friend of diversity, who wants to explore ideas for making our school system a more inclusive environment. Please re-elect John Sutherland. Marianne Gray 09/20/2011
I'm out of the municipality but will cast my "like" for this upstanding, level-headed man who has a clear understanding of what decisions need to be made that help kids and learning. Marianne Gray, former Abbotsford resident Jeff Wiebe, Abbotsford Businessman 09/20/2011
John Sutherland is an important voice of good sense and stability on the Board. Along with his considerable experience and professional qualifications, he connects well with district employees and the public. Thank you for your service to our community, John. Jeff Wiebe Abbotsford Businessman It is with a great sense of commitment to the field of education and the importance of knowledgeable leadership that I give my whole hearted support to John Sutherland as he seeks to return to a seat on our Board of Education. John is a man of integrity, wisdom, commitment, humour and purpose. He brings the experience of a life spent in education that is so vital to the decision-making process. Education has always been and will continue to be the most vital cornerstone in the building of successful societies. Where education falters so too do the constituencies it serves.
